Parent's Day Out Program

The Parent’s Day Out program, a mission outreach of First Presbyterian, is in its twenty-third year.  The program meets on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm, and is open to all children between the ages of one and five.  Charlotte Gaw serves as the director with the assistance of six staff employees.  There were 50 children enrolled in the fall of 2010 from 32 families, including 20 affiliated with Whiteman Air Force Base.

The program provides daily planned activities including craft projects, story time, music time and occasional cooking experiences for the children.  Outdoor play is provided when the weather permits.  Pajama week is always a favorite time.  Everyone wears their PJs, makes pancakes, and takes part in teddy bear themed projects.  The low student-teacher ratio ensures a safe and nurturing environment.  Program staff and participants appreciate First Presbyterian’s support.
